The Journey

A Harmony Found at Sea

Our story began in the heart of New York City in 2022. Brought together by a contract for Lincoln Center Stage on Holland America Line, we initially discovered our shared musical language through the rigorous demands of classical chamber repertoire.

What started as a professional collaboration evolved into a much deeper connection. While performing together aboard the Westerdam in 2025, we officially formed our partnership as Resonant Duo and, in the process, became a couple. Today, we bring the harmony of our shared life and professional artistry to every stage we grace.

The Artists

Marcin Mąkowski

Violin

With over 15 years of professional experience, Marcin has performed with prestigious ensembles including the Sinfonia Iuventus. A graduate of the Academy of Music in Gdańsk, his technical precision is matched only by his lyrical expression.

When not on the concert stage, Marcin is an avid aviator and cyclist, finding the same sense of freedom in the skies and on the road as he does within a soaring violin solo.

Emily Filice

Piano

Hailing from Edmonton, Emily's musical journey began in Alberta, continued in Montréal and eventually led her to the prestigious Mannes School of Music in Manhattan. Her deep-rooted passion for chamber music has taken her across continents; performing in world class venues while cultivating meaningful relationships.

A true citizen of the world, Emily balances her intense practice schedule with a love for travel, fitness and exploring the cultural nuances of every port of call she visits - along with finding the cutest vegetarian café.
